Busy Bee

I know I promised another Issey Miyake post yesterday, but working on a million freelance projects at once sometimes keeps me away from the blog. I'm not complaining; it feels great to be in demand. For example, this week I met with Nicola Formichetti, who was in Vancouver for the "Thierry Mugler to MUGLER" retrospective at The Room. Love him, and not only because he reminds me of Astro Boy, but because he was amazingly candid during our brief chat. We bonded over Tom Hardy's hotness, the greatness of Star Wars, and what his muse Lady Gaga plans to wear if she ever gets married (I'll keep it a secret, for now). You can read more about my encounter with Formichetti, and a look back at Thierry Mugler on FLARE.com

PS. Oh! Might as well tell you what I wore since I never do this: Max Mara silk blouse; Roland Mouret skirt; Pineda Covalin clutch; MM6 bracelet; Eddie Borgo earrings; and these Nicholas Kirkwood pumps.

Beautiful! I'd love to know what lipstick you have on here as well.

It's Kate Moss for Rimmel collection #04. Amazing berry purple and only around $8 or so.

Um, once again, you look ridiculously beautiful. Just saying. And the lipstick doesn't hurt either, might have to run out and check it out. Good luck with all your projects too!

You are GORGEOUS.

How much did the blouse and the skirt cost?

Blouse was 2nd hand, around $100, and skirt was around $800 -- pricey, but it's timeless.

800 dollars for the skirt, this is the original price or the discounted price?

Original. It was an investment piece.
