Shoe Wednesdays: Erin Templeton Roamin Sandals

It always thrills me when someone from my city designs something flawless, which is exactly the case with these sandals by Erin Templeton. If you live in Vancouver, you are probably familiar with her up-cycled (I like this word better than 'recycled') leather bags, and if you are not, please check them out (Palooka is my favourite).

The Roamin sandal is handmade by the designer -- as is everything else in her collection. Templeton studied shoemaking, and as demonstrated on her blog, it's pretty old school stuff. These sandals are just so incredibly smart and simple. They remind of something one would pick up from some a fabulous street market while on a Mediterranean vacation. Audrey Hepburn in Roman Holiday comes to mind, but so does Gwyneth Paltrow in The Talented Mr. Ripley.

$125 at Erin Templeton.

  1. Yes, "up-cycled" infinitely better! These are gorgeous and thanks for reminding me about The Talented Mr. Ripley, need to watch that again. Some of my favorite film fashion ever.

  2. I love flat sandals for summer. They're so much more elegant than flip-flops but just as (if not more) comfortable.
