Pretty sure this Bat Mitzvah "Rolling in the Deep" scene is the new Victrola striptease. What was once a lusty forbidden teen romance has now turned into lusty forbidden adult romance. Where before they were searching for decadence, now they are searching for innocence. Yeah, okay, I'm reading too much into this, but rest assured, I take my Gossip Girl very seriously. I'm here 'til the end, good or bad (rumour has it that the next season is the last).

As soon as I saw Chuck wearing a purple tie, I knew there was going to be sex. I've said it many times before: purple Chuck means sex, pink Chuck means happy and brown Chuck means sad. Plus, that was hotness...the way she turned around and demanded for her Alexis Mabille gown to be unzipped. No time wasted. But it will never feel right. Unless they take a long break. It's too dirty, too guilty. Certainly not the PG-rated fairytale romance she has with The Prince. Unless The Prince has his own dirty, guilty secrets....

Let's briefly discuss the "I choose me" Serena. Really? C'mon! Really? How is this is new? And then she calls Nate and Dan so she can apologise to them. Like they even care? Nate is heartbroken over Reina and Dan seams to enjoy keeping his options open. Well, naturally, there is the new guy, the cute beach guy, yet another one she can stomp all over.
There were three big (BIG!) twists in the end: 1) Charlie is Ivy and not related to anyone; 2) Dan (or Vanessa) is now a published novelist of the greatest satire since The Bonfire of the Vanities; 3) someone is pregnant. As to the pregnancy, shall we play a guessing game?

- Blair + The Prince
- Blair + Dan (Wishful thinking...)
- Nate + Serena (Why not? Maybe it was Nate's revenge sex?)
- Dan + Serena (Maybe it happened in the three weeks that we didn't see?)
- Dan + Charlie (Again, we are missing three weeks worth of info.)
- Charlie + Rufus (Lily has been house-bound and kind of annoying. And Rufus' mid-life crisis is about to kick in.)

- Eleanor + Cyrus
What else happened? Oh yes, Georgina's "I haven't been this bored since I believed in Jesus" -- great line.

I LOVED how Blair looked in this episode, and chuck and Blair's final conversation after Chuck basically "handed" her to the prince was heartbreaking. I am sure the prince has some secrets and i'm dying to find out.
I didn't love Serena's dress - it seemed too fussy. And Vanessa continues to be annoying.
Eleanor and Cyrus all the way. That guy was pure beast in Princess Bride.

Did you notice how when Dan and Blair were talking about their movie queues, Eric gave them A Look? Something tells me the writers might revive that romantic storyline later.
Also loved your PPS, and every moment of the season finale. I'm with ya - hanging in until the end. Oh how sad that it may all end after next season. I'll be so sad. Short funny story: This week my hubby said, "honey, you're the oldest gossip girl" and I almost cried. I was all, "you mean I can't be S. or B.?" to which he replied, "you'll always be my Gossip Girl." Good save, hubs, good save. ;)

You think there is still chance for Dan and Blair? I'm hoping for a short little fling; just to make Serena jealous.
Honestly, no one does a better Gossip Girl fashion round-up than you. Your writing and keen observations (I totally didn't see the "CHAIR" thing) are unmatched! Loved Blair's Alberta Ferretti coat and thought Serena's Jenny Peckham dress looked like a sari. Her "I chose me" was lame. I really want to know who Ivy is and what happens when her and Georgina get together! I think if Blair and the Prince are pregnant, that's just boring. I wouldn't be surprised if it were Serena, but then with whom? Vanessa is trying to hard to conspire and scheme like the rest of them, give it up already. And I agree that Georgina's line was gold. Can I not choose any of these boys, please? I want the option of selecting the Prince. Um, I hated this finale as well because Blair cheats on the Prince but then proceeds to prepare for the wedding. This episode was so bizarre.
The only saving grace was the fashion, as usual. Loved Serena's Jenny Packham dress & the outfit she wore at the beginning of this episode.
My guess is that Dorota is pregnant.
The prego test was picked up in Blair's room trash can no? Therefore the writers want us to believe that it's Blair's, but I guess we'll find out next season. I also don't agree with her one last Chuck-sexy-time, it seemed like she didn't even feel guilty. I don't even think Serena would pull something like this if she was getting married. I'm defending her, what's wrong with me?
Ivy + Georgina psycho-duo should be interesting.

I have no clue what Vanessa is going to do with "Inside" but I think his novel, in terms of smut, will rival Gossip Girl. Unless he IS Gossip Girl?
I hope Dan and Blair have a fling too. Maybe things won't work out with the prince, Chuck will be busy with his Tour de Debauchery, and Blair will turn to Lonely Boy for her own loneliness.
Oh! One thing that makes me think the pregnancy test is Blair's--she's thinking of having the wedding in November. Seems a bit rushed, don't you think? I always pegged her as the sort who'd want a long engagement to plan a perfect wedding. If you do the math, she'll be 3-4.5 months pregnant by then. With the right gown, it won't show.
