Les Exclusifs have taken up residence in Espace Parfums: a space with an interactive Olfactive Bar where you sit down on plush tweed chairs for a tête-à-tête with a CHANEL Fragrance Expert and begin a journey of discovering your ideal fragrance. There is no spray-and-sniff or those silly coffee beans, CHANEL's fragrances are organized in a laboratory-like system of ceramic blotters -- this is less tiring on the nose.
My nose got a healthy dose of CHANEL, experiencing over twenty fragrances in one sitting. I've always been a Nº 5 gal, but after getting a sniff of Les Exclusifs, my heart is set on Gardénia, a creamy floral scent created in 1925 by Mademoiselle Chanel and her master perfumier Ernest Beaux. Chanel loved having her home filled with white flowers and the Gardenia was her favourite (other than, of course, the Camellia, which has no scent). Les Exclusifs are the spirit of Chanel bottled up. I love hearing the stories behind each fragrance: they are a little peek into Chanel's life, like a seductive storybook time for adults.

Mmmm that Gardenia scent sounds lovely. I'll have to make a trip to Holt's to have a sniff for myself! The new Chanel beauty bar looks amazing, but of course, I wouldn't expect anything less.
I love Gardénia too!! I discovered it while in Europe recently. Absolutely delightful, just like Coco herself. I am always impressed at how Karl and the rest have maintained her original spirit and personality in the brand.
I'm pretty in love with Beige after trying the sample we got in our goodie bags from that night. There's something in it that just hints at balsam but the fragrance overall has a lot of depth. The Olfactive Bar is quite an experience, isn't it? I loved the ceramic blotters and finding out more about all the fragrances.
P.S. How do you like your new Rouge Coco lipstick in Mademoiselle?
Perfumes are the only thing I can afford from Chanel. I love No.5, and I wear Chance on a regular, but wouldn't mind broadening my horizons with these other scents you've mentioned.
