Floppy Straws

I've never been a huge sun worshiper. I have what I call "Lindsay Lohan face," a face that is covered in freckles (and I'm not even a redhead!). As cute as summer freckles can be, after you reach a certain age, they just don't seem to go away. So my trusty SPF usually joins forces with a floppy straw hat in the summer for extra protection. Whether plain, with a bow, or adorned with stripes, floppies are always in style and echo old Hollywood glamour (Elizabeth Taylor would approve). Here are my top pics ranging from around $30 to $400 (I know, but it's so pretty).

L'Wren Scott Bow-embellished straw sunhat ($437 US at Net-a-Porter)

Eric Javits 'Squishee IV' Wide Brim Hat ($213 CAD at Nordstrom)

Euginia Kim "Honey" hat ($196 CAD at Net-a-Porter)

Melissa Odabash "Jemma" straw hat ($135 US at Net-a-Porter)

The Gap floppy straw hat ($35 CAD at The Gap)

Zara bow hat ($29 CAD at Zara)

That Zara hat is soo cute. Wish they would make it in another colour!

P.S. The Alexis Bittar necklace in your previous post is STUNNING. One of the most beautiful and creative statement necklaces I've seen. Thanks for sharing!

I love the look of floppy hats but my head is too small to wear them! or just hats in general haha, I had one when I was in Cabo but only used it to cover my face when I was lying down. And I really like the versions that the Gap and Zara came out with! Makes me wish that I was more of a hat person. Sigh, oh well! I can totally see you rocking a floppy hat though!

I have a problem with hats too! I usually have to wear them with a higher ponytail so it adds extra bulk to my head. LOL. It works!
