Gossip Girl: "Treasure of Serena Madre" Fashion Round-Up

Let's start with Nate this week. I usually don't talk about Nate very much because he has thus far been the most boring character on the show. Yes, even more boring than Dan and Vanessa. Nate, as a male lead, has not had any chemistry with any of the leading ladies... except Serena in the flashback to their passionate one-night-stand in the first season. He was out-matched by Blair's sassiness, mismatched with Vanessa, and kind of creepy with Jenny. But with Serena he makes sense: two beautiful people with amazing looking hair and old-money pedigrees. Carolyn Bessette Kennedy and JFK Jr come to mind. I want this to happen. Move over Tripp, I'm now officially crushing on Nate. Gayface and all.

And since when did Chuck become everyone's dad? Boring. I want bad boy Chuck back, not dad Chuck.

It seems that the writers are getting rid of all the parents one by one. It's too bad that Eleanor and Cyrus are 'moving to Paris'. It seems that they could have done a lot more, what with Eleanor Waldorf being a top fashion designer and all. It seems like it wasn't even mentioned past the first season.

Thankfully, we still have the always elegant Lily. She is just perfect.

As I mentioned before, Serena's style has much improved due to the fact that she now tries to dress like her mother. Her gray Adam coat is absolutely stunning. I want it. Now.

Who wears a Stella McCartney jumpsuit to a Thanksgiving Dinner? Serena Van Der Woodsen. Why? Because she can. Because she has the most ridiculous body.

And then, of course, there is Blair and matching Chuck. They looked perfect as always. Happy go lucky and drama-free. I just want them back scheming and being up-to-no-good.
